GET READY FOR A FUTURE IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING AT UBC.
ADMISSION
As all other engineering undergraduate programs at UBC, prospective students will apply to the common undergraduate engineering first year. Then, if accepted, students will specialize in environmental engineering starting in their second year. The first intake of second year students at the Vancouver campus will begin in September 2020.
COURSES
UBC’s environmental engineering degree program is designed to be completed in eight academic semesters with an optional 16 months of Co-op work placement.
In addition to the common first year engineering courses, students in the environmental engineering program will take courses in Civil Engineering and Chemical & Biological Engineering, as well as specifically-designed environmental engineering courses such as Environmental Engineering Science and Environmental Engineering and Sustainability. Each year of the program features a design course which will prepare students for a final capstone design project in their 4th year.
