The UBC Environmental Engineering is proud to announce that our undergraduate program has achieved the maximum allowable accreditation period of three years, for a new program, by the esteemed Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to our commitment to excellence and dedication to continuous development.
We would like to acknowledge the exceptional efforts and innovative approaches employed by the program’s faculty, staff, and students. It recognizes the unwavering efforts our communities have put together to providing an outstanding educational experience that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical principles needed to tackle the complex environmental challenges of our time.
On May 31, 2023, our program successfully graduated our first cohort of students. This is a momentous occasion that marked the beginning of a new chapter for both our program and the graduates themselves. We are certain that these outstanding graduates now possess the tools and knowledge necessary to have a rewarding career as stewards of our planet. In the meanwhile, we will continue providing world-class degree in environmental engineering, as a result of a strong partnership between UBC’s Departments of Chemical & Biological Engineering and Civil Engineering.
